Based off Malay Charms Poison Cures by John D. Gimlette, this project inquire on the veracity of four Malay chants through the translation process from sources to author. This inquiry is then interpreted through the lens of future generations trying to make meaning from the chants of yesteryears, becoming the next Gimlette (without the colonial lens).
