Karate Tweet

For this project I parodied Jaden Smith’s tweets, (in)famous for his “philosophical” outlook on life. This video aims to show the dissonance between his tweets and the general public. This is achieved by selecting some of his tweets as subtitles and dubbed in recordings of my voice reading the names of Japanese companies and popular Japanese terms. The usage of familiar Japanese terms brings out the idea of familiarity yet something foreign, which parallels Jaden’s tweets.
